The College has freshly applied for the renewal of the NSS (National Service Scheme) unit which, for the time being, is lying defunct. However, in absence NSS unit social service Cell has been formed.

Apart from the above, the Students’ Union as well as the Employees’ Union of the College periodically organise blood donation camps Students also participate in community welfare programmes (e.g. free eye surgery camps) conducted by many other organizations. Many faculty members also participate and contribute to numerous popular science programmes organized by different science communities. Many students, teaching and non-teaching staff members are also associated with different social organizations and contribute effectively to social outreach programmes.
